Headshot of Armand King

Armand King

Founder & Director of Program Development

Meet Armand Lawrich King, a transformative leader who has risen from a challenging past to make a global impact. With over a decade of dedication, Armand has reshaped communities as a nonprofit founder, consultant, author, and inspiring speaker. His expertise in entrepreneurship and team building has made him a sought-after mentor and a crucial figure in community service, serving on San Diego's Gang Prevention and Intervention Commission and the Mayor's Black Advisory Board.

Armand's deep commitment to youth empowerment led to the creation of Walk With Me Impact, fueled by personal experiences with gun violence and loss. Tragically familiar with the pain of losing friends and loved ones, including a year where he lost a family member or mentee each month, Armand channels these experiences into a passionate call to action for saving youth. His journey of resilience and leadership makes him a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change globally.

WWMI Team

Dedication. Lived Experience. Passion.

The WWMI team is a diverse collection of professionals with various backgrounds ready to join the fight for the lives of our youth. We aim to address the public health crisis of fentanyl, human sex trafficking, substance abuse, gun violence, youth homicide, and incarceration among youth, by focusing on marginalized communities, particularly BIPOC and youth, who have been disproportionately impacted. We plan to use our youth mentoring curriculum to spread awareness and offer solutions nationwide to supplement previous methods and to reach beyond the boundaries of the United States.

Youth Advisory Council

Lived Experience Youth Leader, Maclovio Marquez

To add to our level of outreach WWMI has incorporated lived experience youth that will engage the participants through conversations about their own personal stories that are relatable. Having the ability to share their history while also providing a positive outlook has proven beneficial in previous sessions. Incorporating youth into panel discussions provides educators and parents with additional insight on how to reach the youth around them. This also provides youth advisors with an opportunity to support their community by helping those looking to improve the lives of everyone around them.
